Lunch is provided for all students, PreK-12, by Bon Appetit, which manages the OES Dining Hall. Bon Appetit plans nutritious, well-balanced menus for the school. Meals are served in the Lower School Common Hall for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Primary, and in the Dining Hall for First through Twelfth Grades. Menus are published weekly on the OES Website.
Parents of children on a restricted diet are welcome to call the Director of Food Services (503-768-3135) to discuss problems or particular requirements. Students may be excused from school lunches only with written permission from a parent and the child's physician.
Nutritious snacks are provided for all students in all divisions, at age-appropriate times during the program day. These snacks include such items as fruit, vegetable sticks, cheese, and crackers. Snacks are planned by the Director of Food Services, in coordination with Divisional Offices. Parents of children on a restricted diet are welcome to call the Director of Food Services to discuss problems or particular requirements regarding snacks.
